Kentucky krijgt Forces afdeling

Uitgerekend in de week dat de anti’s in Lexington, Kentucky, een tegenslag te verwerken kregen werd daar formeel een Forces afdeling opgericht. Kentucky herbergt daarmee de dertiende afdeling van Forces in de VS.


In een rechtszaak werd bepaald dat een voor komende maandag voorgenomen algemeen rookverbod in de horeca van die stad voorlopig niet door mocht gaan. De rechtszaak was aangespannen door de lokale horeca.


De nieuwe Kentucky afdeling van Forces kondigde dit als volgt aan op hun nieuwe site:


At 12:30PM, September 26, 2003 a judge extended the deadline for the Lexington smoking ban to begin.  It was due to go into effect on September 29 but the judge has ordered another hearing on October 6th.  Another blow to the Antis!!


Kentucky heeft voor de anti’s een speciale betekenis omdat het de eerste tabaksstaat is waar men poogt rookverboden in te voeren.
