Ierse minister wil compleet verbod roken in horeca

Per 1 januari 2004 wil de Ierse minister voor volksgezondheid roken in alle Ierse pubs, restaurants en hotels verbieden.

Zoals gewoonlijk worden in de propaganda rond de invoering van deze wet weer de nodige aperte leugens verspreid.

Meest sterke staaltje is de volgende uitspraak:

The risk of lung cancer from passive smoking is 90 times higher than the risk of developing cancer due to asbestos in buildings.

Deze uitspraak komt uit een `rapport` van een Ierse organisatie met de naam Health and Safety Authority and the Office for Tobacco Control, een anti-roken lobbygroep. Het is tegenwoordig blijkbaar niet eens meer nodig om dit soort uitspraken met bewijsmateriaal te staven om een gewillig oor te krijgen bij de overheid!
