Delaware verhoogt accijns
Nadat enige tijd geleden de rokers in het kleine staatje Delaware het leven in restaurants en kroegen onmogelijk werd gemaakt via een algemeen rookverbod blijkt het staatje de rokers nu wel weer nodig te hebben: ze mogen meer accijns op tabak betalen om de begroting te spekken.
De strijd van de overheid tegen rokers en horeca lijkt nog maar naar één dramatische gebeurtenis te leiden: een rechtszaak. En die mogelijkheid wordt inderdaad door Forces zusterorganisatie DEUSA onderzocht.

“We do believe that that will affect young people’s behavior, people are, adults and youths are very price sensitive.”
But the owner of Bulldozers Saloon says smoking ban supporters have gone too far, first by forcing him to send his customers outside, and now by raising cigarette taxes.
