Nieuw Europees platform tegen rokersdiscriminatie

En alweer werden we geattendeerd op een nieuw Iers initiatief om de alom opkomende rokersdiscriminatie, dit keer op Europees niveau, te bevechten.


De organisatie, European Smokers Against Discrimination (ESAD), stelt zich ten doel geld te verzamelen om bij de Europese rechtbank te bewerkstelligen dat algehele rookverboden uit den boze zijn en dat de horeca vrij wordt gelaten om afzonderlijke rookgebieden in te richten in de etablissementen.


“It is the mission of European Smokers Against Discrimination (ESAD) to safeguard the rights of all smokers and provide redress to discrimination against them. This will be carried out by all lawful political and legal means within the European Union. ESAD will also set out to foster relations with like minded organizations on a world wide basis.


ESAD will strive to provide assistance and information to all who request it, regardless of sex, race, color or creed. ESAD will undertake to represent smokers in all aspects of their pursuit of a smoker friendly and safe environment. The scope of the organization shall also include fundraising activities in order to further its objectives.”
