Canadese tabaksindustrie neemt het op voor rokers

Het lijkt erop dat de Canadese tabaksindustrie het gejen van haar klanten zat is. Via een nieuwe website wordt ondersteuning geboden aan ‘volwassen rokers’ die het zat zijn als tweederangsburgers te worden beschouwd. Hoewel de website, die met veel geld is opgezet, erg gematigd van natuur is, is het wél opvallend dat de tabaksindustrie eindelijk weer in actie durft te komen.


Canada is het land waar de onderdrukking van rokers ver heeft doorgezet en dat als een voorbeeld dient voor veel anti-rokersorganisaties in de rest van de wereld.

And yes, mychoice.ca is financed entirely by the Canadian Tobacco Manufacturers’ Council. A serious website and online association requires funding, and it is natural for industries to support their customers. In the case of smokers, it is not as if there are a lot of other choices available.
