Canadese bands gaan Forces steunen

In Canada gaan rock bands en andere musici in de contramine nu ze merken dat ze, als gevolg van de alom aanwezige rookverboden, steeds minder kunnen optreden in allerhande etablissementen. Het publiek blijft steeds meer weg en de zaaleigenaren kunnen de bands niet meer betalen.


Forces International gaat nu in samenwerking met een Canadees organisatiebureau dat vele artiesten onder contract heeft, de CD’s van de artiesten verkopen en krijgt in ruil daarvoor geld dat weer gebruikt kan worden om de anti-rokenorganisaties te bestrijden en waar nodig rechtszaken aan te spannen. Ook zijn er plannen om nummers op te nemen die de anti-organisaties onder vuur gaan nemen.


De in Canada alom bekende topband Doug Jenson and the Feel Kings geeft vandaag het startschot voor het artiestenprotest.
