Nieuw boek over de antirokenbeweging
In een nieuw Australisch boek wordt de globale antirokenbeweging geanalyseerd. Het is een lange opsomming geworden over de werking van het medisch establishment en de anti-rokenbeweging zelf.
It seems that almost every day there is some new ban on smoking instituted
somewhere around the world. Many an individual or group of questionable
integrity or of vainglorious pursuits can now elevate their “status” by adopting
an antismoking stance. The unchecked, global rise of the acute fixation of
antismoking is not coincidental or haphazard, but is a telling, disturbing sign
of the times. It is a critical symptom of dangerous, out-of-control materialism.
The materialist mentality, or cult, now dominates key social institutions (e.g.,
governments, the medical establishment, academia, education, the media) in most,
if not all, western nations; the potential for counter-argument to delusional
materialist beliefs has all but been obliterated.
Rampant Antismoking Signifies Grave Danger presents an examination of the
antismoking mentality in greater, multidimensional context. The book’s
discussion covers biological (epidemiologic), psychological, social/relational,
moral, legal, and philosophical/spiritual considerations in indicating that
domineering materialism does not reflect some great conspiracy but, rather, a
regression into “rule by superficiality.” Most participants in the materialist
assault have no idea what they are doing. The mentality, or cult framework, is
best characterized as incompetent and ignorant – lacking in multidimensional
insight. It is by this superficial or shallow reasoning, and during a period
when almost all manner of questionable conduct has been “normalized” by the same
framework, that tobacco-smoking alone has been manufactured into the great
“taboo” of the time: Antismoking has been concocted into a moral substitute for
morally floundering societies, i.e., moral fakery. It is highlighted that this
situation reflects a metaphysical crisis. Many nations are already in dire
straits, and with the worst yet to come.
