2000 banen weg in Dublin
Alleen al in Dublin heeft het rookverbod, dat eind maart werd ingevoerd, geleid tot het verlies van 2000 arbeidsplaatsen in de sector. Dat zegt Donall O’Keefe, voorzitter van de Licensed Vintners Association, een van de horeca-organisaties in Ierland.
The association, which represents publicans in Dublin, said pub sales were down by 16% since the ban was introduced on March 29.
It said these figures were based on a study conducted by the market research firm Behaviour and Attitudes and paid for by the LVA.
