North Dakota wet verbiedt verkoop en gebruik van tabak
Een comité van de regering van de Amerikaanse staat North Dakota heeft vriend en vijand verbaasd met een wet die de verkoop en het gebruik van tabak in de staat zou moeten verbieden.
De regeringscommissie is stomverbaasd over de reacties van de anti-rokenorganisaties die TEGEN het voorstel zijn!
Rep. Wes Belter, R-Leonard, chairs the committee and was one of several members who asked pointed questions of the anti-tobacco health groups that came out against the bill. Most of them said they opposed it because there was no scientific evidence that it would work, since North Dakota would be the first state to enact such a ban. They said the state should instead rely on other tobacco cessation strategies that have been proven to work.
He said some members of the committee were “extremely upset by the testimony from the groups who consider themselves to be anti-tobacco.”
He said the committee’s endorsement of the bill symbolized the frustration they had with the anti-tobacco groups.
Wat is er nu zo apart aan dit bericht?
De reactie van de anti’s op wat eigenlijk hun ideaal zou moeten zijn is negatief. Waarom? Heel eenvoudig: het zou de fundamenten van hun bestaan en dus hun inkomsten aantasten. Zij zijn net zo afhankelijk van tabak als de gemiddelde roker. Bovendien krijgen zij nu alle schuld van de “drooglegging” en dat willen ze niet, zeuren is een betere tactiek.
