Kanker en bacteriële/virale infecties
Van alt.smokers newsgroup
There's a new book "Plaguetime" by biologist Ewald of Mass. -
theory is that many cancers *are* bacterial or viral.
For many decades the medical community refused to acknowledge that ulcers
were caused by bacteria even though some confirmation was found in the 1930s and
one US hospital in the 1940s was treating ulcers with antibiotics. Even after
1988 when it was proven, doctors were slow to learn this fact. In 1993 I had to
insist that my doctor give me antibiotics and he said, well I guess it's worth a
try!
Cervical cancer which has now been proven even to the medical community that
it is an infection, was slow to be acknowledged. This author also is quite sure
that rectal, prostate and even breast cancer is caused by infection. Certain
types of bacteria have been found in tissue. But research funding has been
given mainly to genetic research, with research into infections becoming more
and more scarce.
He has really shook up everyone with his idea that heart attacks, and stroke,
and other syndromes such as Chronic Fatigue, rheum. arthritis and
get this - schizophrenia are caused by infection. His explanation for this is
that over time bacteria in a certain part of the brain causes it to get it's
signals crossed and sufferers therefore hear voices and/or exhibit other strange
behaviours. Not the fact that they had a lousy childhood or some other
trauma. He doesn't think Freud did anyone a great service by blaming everything
on the mind. And he doesn't think much of present day thinking that all the
physical woes are envionmental, or lifestyle, or genetics, maybe only 5%.
He thinks these infections have lived in the human/animal body for thousands
of years, we are merely food for parasites - hey, good red meat! One
interesting note he made was the difference in heart attacks and strokes between
men and women. It is known that women before they reach menopause are less prone
than men to these ailments after which time they have about the same level of
occurance.
Traditional thinking is that younger women lose blood and therefore get rid of
the iron which is thought to be harmful if the levels are too high. Why
would male bodies have this iron if it is not required???
Well, it seems that iron is a main course for bacteria, so they have less to
feed on in younger women than they do men. It's not that the body does not
require this iron, it's just that men's bodies are feeding the bacteria so well
that they flourish and damage the heart causing the strokes, etc. The answer is
not to get rid of lots of iron, but to kill the bacteria.
